A work of art it was not, but the UW-Fox men’s basketball team will take the 64-53 win it earned at UW-Fond du Lac on Monday night. Missed lay-ups, turnovers, and some bad fouls in the last five minutes allowed a 19 point lead to dwindle down to 9. However, the Cyclones kept things together enough to earn the road victory. In the process they ran their record to 5-1, 3-0 in the WCC-East.
Korey Jagiello pace the UW-Fox offense with 12 points on 6/12 shooting. Casey Kelder finished with 10 points and pulled down a team high 7 rebounds and Ethan Derricks came off the bench to score 8 points on 2/2 shooting from 3-point range. An Adam Kaminske 3-point basket from the left corner midway through the the second half would ignite the Cyclone rally that would see the lead swell to 19 points.
The UW-Fox men will return to action after the Thanksgiving weekend when they host Fox Valley Technical College on Monday November 28th at the UW-Fox Fieldhouse. Game time is 7:30pm. The Cyclone men will also host UW-Manitowoc on Wednesday November 30th. The tip-off for that game is 5:30pm.
