The Cyclones honored 10 second year players before the game, the final regular season home game for UW-Fox. 13 players scored for UW-Fox led by Trevor Krizenesky and Matt Lehner. Both players finished with 15 points. Krizenesky also added 4 assists.
UW-Fox led 30-21 at intermission and slowly pulled away in the second half. Chase Hawley penetrated and found Krizenesky open for a three-point field goal that pushed the lead to 50-30 with just over 7 minutes to play. Wesley Krauss scored 5 points during the decisive run.
The Cyclones defense held the Buccaneers to 27.6% field goal shooting for the game. UW-Fox connected on 45% of their shots in the second half.
With the win UW-Fox moves to 19-4 overall, 9-2 in the WCC-East. They travel to UW-Washington on Monday night February 10th for their regular season finally against the Wildcats. Tip-off is scheduled for 7pm.
