The UW-Fox men’s basketball team used a strong second half to defeat UW-Baraboo 62-43 on Friday night. The Cyclones got 16 second half points from Travis Puyleart, who went on a 10-0 run of his own midway through the second half to help catapult the Cyclones to the victory.
UW-Fox had only 9 turnovers in the game, their best performance of the season in that category, and held the Fighting Saints to 32% shooting in recording their 12th victory.
Puyleart led the Cyclones with 24 points and 4 steals. Casey Kelder and Eli vonBrevern each scored 8 points for UW-Fox. Kelder also grabbed 9 rebounds, and vonBrevern 8 for the Cyclones. The two pulled down 12 of the Cyclones 20 offensive rebounds.
With the win the Cyclones run their overall record to 12-1. They return to action in January.
