UW-Fox Downs UW-Marshfield

The UW-Fox men’s basketball team drained 16 three-point baskets on Saturday on their way to a 64-48 victory over UW-Marshfield at the UW-Fox Fieldhouse.  While the Cyclones found their rhythm offensively, they held the Marauders to 29% shooting for the game.  
Six different Cyclones knocked down a three-pointer in the first half, led by Jordan Klein (Manitowoc Lutheran) who buried four.  The Cyclone’s 10 triples helped them jump out to a 38-24 halftime lead.  UW-Marshfield (5-3) would get no closer than 11 points in the second half.
Casey Kelder (Appleton West) led the Cyclones with 12 points and 11 rebounds.  Klein finished with 12 points, and Trevor Smith (Appleton North) finished with 11 points and 3 assists.  Post players Eli vonBrevern (Seymour) and Tanner Hackl (West Depere) combined for 12 points and 12 rebounds, while Travis Puyleart (Green Bay Preble) also chipped in with 8 points and 4 assists.
With the win the Cyclones improved to 9-1 overall (5-0) on the season.  They will return to WCC-East action on Wednesday when they host UW-Washington at 5:30pm in the UW-Fox Fieldhouse.
